Goat House

The Goat House is a concrete block structure that has undergone a complete renovation, including the addition of a massive centerpiece for the 800 square foot house. The enormous glass windows and doors that constitute the front and back of the house open completely, allowing the entire house to seem like a gigantic open space.

This passageway connecting the front and rear of the house is reminiscent of a dogtrot, with the rooms of the house to each side of this center walkway. The wood flooring is wood taken from the original roof structure, keeping the cost of the renovations at or close to $12,000. The house got its name because, at the time, it was in such despair that goats had actually taken up residence in it.
