Seven, three-story, two-bay, orange brick composed block, Colonial Revival rowhouses in AABCBAA pattern. Ground floor recessed full width porches supported on limestone columns, large 1/1 window and off center entrance with transom. Second floor, two 1/1 sash windows, flat limestone lintel with keystone. Third floor, two 1/1 windows with pressed-metal pilaster surrounds, pressed-metal band with swags. Type A is differentiated by a false half-gambrel roof with pedimented cross gables decorated by pressed-metal floral design. The false gambrel is covered with red slate shingles. Type B is differentiated by false half-gambrel roof with broken pediment hipped cross gables decorated with pressed metal scrolls and sunburst pattern. The roof is covered with red slate shingles. Type C is differentiated by a false half-gambrel roof originally covered with red slate shingles. 37 retains the only complete original banister in the row but has lost its slate shingles on the upper slope of its roof. 7 Contributing

Two, three-story, two-bay, semi-detached houses with large limestone two-story Spanish Renaissance storefront and office addition c.1926. Ground floor recessed storefront flanked by two arched entrances. Second floor two central tripartite windows with transoms flanked by two 1/1 windows with iron false balconies and transoms. Central bays capped by false shed roof probably originally covered with Spanish tiles and flanked by false tower with undulating parapet wall and decorative roundels. 2 Contributing.

Two, three-story, two bay, orange brick, semi-detached Colonial Revival houses. The houses have front yards, columned L-shaped ground floor porches, three-sided second floor bays with decorative swags, paired 3/1 third floor windows and a hipped roof with decorative Flemish cross gable. Two, two-bay, three-story, orange brick, Colonial Revival/Eclectic semi-detached houses with front storefront additions. Second floor on 229 single window. Third floor two arched windows with "Gothick" sash, hipped roof with overhanging eaves, eyebrow dormers and central decorative stepped faux gable. Two-story octagonal corner turrets with octagonal bell shaped roof. 227 retains its original slate roof. 229 single story Colonial Revival storefront with distyle corner entrance, infilled storefront windows with transoms. 2 Contributing.

Second floor three-sided bay, 2/1 windows on the third floor and Spanish tile hipped roof with a shed dormer and central chimney.
